Kathi Burg is a writer, poet, and the author of A Little Book of Poetry: For When Night Seems Dark, published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. Her poems have been published in Poems Inspired by Robert Frost, and Flee to Spring—both Wingless Dreamer Publications. Her flash fiction has been published by Haunted Waters Press.

From a young age, Kathi used her writing to comfort and encourage others by reminding them of the love and nearness of God. Over time, she discovered writing to be a helpful tool in dealing with emotions related to grief, loss, loneliness, and discouragement. Today, much of her work explores life's challenges while praising God for its beauty.

Kathi has been a follower of Jesus and a student of the Bible for many years. She attributes her ability to see the beauty around her to God, who she credits with bringing her out of dark times, and making Himself real to her.

Kathi hopes that when people read A Little Book of Poetry, they will experience the same peace she felt when writing the poems. And that even though they touch on difficult subjects, people will see a thread of hope running through them. Hope that says, there is a God, and that He wants to comfort us in our trials.
